The Apple Tart of Hope

apple-tart-of-hopeThe Apple Tart of Hope is truly amazing. It really is a masterpiece. It is about two people, Meg and Oscar, who take turns writing about their lives after a terrible mistake Oscar made.

Sarah Moore Fitzgerald and her gentle way of flooding this book with emotion render the reader quite speechless.

I really think this deserves a 5 star, simply because, as the Telegraph says:

‘ This novel is gentle.. but it has hidden powers, too.’

This book simply MUST be read.

The Ghosts of Heaven

This is a truly phenomenal book. It has no definition, no genre: it cannot be put into a group with different books. It is unique. Travelling through time, the four quarters of this novel fit eerily together.

It takes you to the first people to roam Earth, and a girl who unknowingly kills her people, and far into the future as Keir Bowman travels through a high-tech spaceship

I have never read anything of the kind and you won’t have either. It is truly remarkable. I am mightily impressed by Marcus Sedgwick and his beautiful style and use of language.

I am looking forward to reading another of his book, The Foreshadowing. I can’t wait to blog about it.

A Company of Swans

a-company-of-swans  This book is, without a doubt, a masterpiece. No words can explain quite how it leads your emotions on such a dance! I loved every moment and the description and twist in the tale is entirely unforeseen. Already, I have run out of words to talk about this stupendous story!

All else I can say is this: READ THIS BOOK!

Don’t forget to comment on this book once you’ve read it!

The Sisters Grimm

the-sisters-grimm Ever heard of the Brothers Grimm and their sinister stories? You haven’t? Be glad. For decades their spine-chilling tales have spooked people all over Britain.

This book brings back to life their unwieldy imagination with a modern twist. It is also humorous. Some of the jokes in this books are side-achingly funny. As you may have grasped, the book has quite a dark side to it, and fairy-tale stars you adored will turn traitor in the most interesting way…

An overall story success! I love it: the real world is very cleverly included- a masterpiece.

Do read this book- and try not to faint with fright!

I hope you enjoy it.

Goth Girl and the Ghost of a Mouse

goth-girl-and-the-ghost-of-a-mouseThis hilarious, unique tale puts goths, ghosts and vampires in an entirely new light- or, should I say, dark!

Ada, a goth girl, leads a quiet, reserved life. Her stunning likeness of her late mother causes her grieving father to come to disregard his poor daughter. That is, until she meets Ishmael…

The wit and humour of Chris Riddell strides throughout the pages of this marvellous book.

I would definitely recommend this book to all who like the genre of adventure and friendship.

Ethan’s Voice

ethans-voice In all my life, I have never read a book like this. It made me cry! The innocent narrative, new-found friendship and courage all held a great part in making this story a success!

I cannot put into words how heart-wrenching this story is. Truth be told, this is probably in my top-five books I’ve ever read- even though I only finished it last night! This book has just GOT to be read. I am so happy books like this actually exist!!

The Harry Potter Books

harry-potter-book-covers I have been greatly anticipating this review! I am so excited to share my (positive) opinions on this fantastic collection!

Harry, a boy of 11, receives an exciting message brimming with opportunity. Glad to be rid of his grisly aunt and uncle and their slob of a son, adventure, friendship and courage are about to come crashing into his world.

These amazing books are seeds for imagination. They are written in a totally unique style that enthralled me. These are books people must read.

I hope you’ll love them as much as I do.

Fallen Grace

fallen-graceThis book, from the author of Velvet, is stunning. The plot, characters and setting were perfectly blended and the ending was deliciously chilly.

I loved this novel! You will especially love it if you are interested in History, death and stylish villains.

All of Grace and her sister Lily’s adventures and rewards, joys and trials are captured in this short but compelling story.

I hope you will enjoy reading it as much as I did.

Velvet

velvetThis book was so powerful! I loved the trap and the twist at the end. It had me hooked from start to finish. While Mary Hooper wrote this masterpiece, she has proved to be one of the few gifted authors who can illustrate a variety of different situations and conjure up mystery at any given moment, making every word in the book a discovery.

I would definitely recommend this if you like intrigue in books.

The Chronicles of Ancient Darkness

coadThese books are absolutely amazing! They capture the fear and uniqueness of the Bronze Age and yet the writing style fits perfectly on a modern bookshelf. I love the friendship, vulnerability and fearlessness that Michelle Paver sprinkled throughout these amazing and inspiring books. She has craftily devised a devastating yet magic plot to enhance the reader’s imagination.

I would definitely recommend these books to anyone willing to read them. I am currently on the sixth book, Ghost Hunter.
