AllegiantAllegiant is the last in the amazing Divergent trilogy.

The faction-based society that once ruled Tris’ life is shattered. Chaos reigns, and the struggle for power continues.

Then Tris is offered a job. She must go out of the boundaries she’s known, out of the confines of the factioned world she once knew, and straight into the unknown. Maybe she and her boyrfriend Tobias will find peace and hope, there in the unknown. They could build a life for themselves.

But what waited for her on the other side was not what she had expected. Memories she had treasured, people she had loved, were cast away with the new tornado of truth that she faced. She faced impossible choices of love and sacrifice in the last book of an electric series.

This is a must-read for anyone, anyone at all. It is just amazing.

Book Review- Insurgent

InsurgentOne choice can destroy you

The second book in the Divergent series, Insurgent is written with honesty and passion as the world of the factions slowly falls apart.

Our protagonist Tris (formerly Beatrice) can only watch as the world she once accepted now lies in ruins around her. The end of her initiation to Dauntless was supposed to be a celebration but ended in utter chaos. With silent wars raging between the shattered factions, Tris must decide where she stands in the middle of it all.

Is it just me, or do you think Veronica Roth should have kept Fernando alive?! He was such an awesome character and I think he may have developed some romance with Christina if he had stayed alive. #FightforFernando

Also, who enjoyed the part with Tris’ peace serum? I died of laughter.

DivergentOne choice can transform you

This book (and the other books in the trilogy- reviews to come!) is my favourite book of ALL TIME. That’s pretty impressive, seeing as I, obviously, have read a LOT of books.

This fast-paced, symbolic book is about Beatrice Prior, who turns away from her family and her birth faction and choosing a new one on her sixteenth birthday. As she struggles to adjust to her new life, she unveils a shocking secret about her identity. But who can she trust on this dangerous path that she has carved for herself, and who is her enemy?

This book is literally too good for words. I was entranced by                                                                          every word and am about to read it for the fourth time.

Book Review- Flawed

FlawedFlawed is, I believe, an extremely relevant book to modern society. As you may have derived from other blog posts, my favourite genre is dystopian, and I found that this book was exactly that.

The Guild, a futuristic government, holds a court trial whenever an action is deemed morally corrupt and charges the offender with one or more brands, differing according to the severity of the act. These people are Flawed.

Celestine North, the protagonist, stands up to the Guild for the first time after a lifetime of respect towards them.  The consequences of her humane actions loom ahead of her as she fights for freedom.

I have no words to describe how moving and thought-provoking this book was. This book needs to be recognised much more and I can guarantee that you will fall in love with it.

Also, it has a sequel- Perfect, where the fight for justice continues.
